When life develops day by day, People tend to be stressed and stressed out. Causing a lot of anxiety and worry by working , studying and other things make you feel tired. That is the reason why whenever they have time they almost always look for some comfortable places, Some leisure activities to entertain themselves.
On 18-20 June 2021,An activity that I was entertaining myself to get out of my comfort zone. I went to the mountain called knong Psar at kampong speu province. Kampong speu is a province of Cambodia. It borders the province of Pursat and kampong chhnang to the north, Kandal to the east, Takeo to the southeast, Kampot to the south and Koh kong to the west. All of them, There are a lot of mountains that look so beautiful and full of freshness. It is an interesting activity for everyone and will be satisfying after joining. I can say I really appreciate those wonderful camps with other participants. There are a lot of fantastic things such as learning many skill about how to make tents( But I did not make it by myself lol ),how to connect all of people , learning storytelling from other participants and villagers that we called guide, how to travel and eat in the forest……………
As my experience on the camping day. I did not focus only on the beautiful view. But I had planned to do reflection and ready to challenge myself to explore new things from those trips. I was excited when I saw the villagers try to lift very heavy material that travelers hired to lift up the mountain around 30-40kg of backpack sometime 3times per week. I was surprised that they can do it well and full of energy to climb. Therefore back to me, I cannot do like them even with my backpack only 4kg.I was difficult with eating , sleeping , shower because I never through hardships like those situation. I can say the food that I ate are type of food that I do not like to eat and rarely eat. Honestly, I ate a bit of them during camping day. But I was happy to enjoy the warrior camp group. They take care of me and help me while I can't continue my journey. I would like to thank Nang Nit Noy for helping me a lot. Although he is human, I thought he is so complicated to meet for the first time. But he is very kindly and good heart to help others without compensation. I can say He is self- absorbed person who claims to be charming. But I really like him. Sister Kira I always called Mumi. She is a very good mumi as I know her. She is the one who introduced me to this tour. All of the participants were also grateful. I was happy when I met sisters who slept the same and near the tents. Sister Lengcheng is a very powerful woman. We are close so fast even the first time we met each other. I really love them so much. I hope we can travel again.
At the same time, I met a guide and I also asked him about his life before and after more tourists came to travel there. His name is Mr. Kim, age 42.He is illiterate but, He is a very grateful, honest person. Villagers that some of them are illiterate. They use labor to earn money to pay for everything. On the other hand, The children at the village have a small school for study. I saw them It seems they did not pay attention to school because of their livelihood. They always help their family by labor. Mr.Kim said: Before no one had come to knong psar. He did not have money to buy anything, even food and rice. Sometimes he was very hungry but did not have something to eat. Because at the village no potential for business and tourism. Their lifestyle has been traditional since the pol pot period. They just farming and cutting trees. After more tourists have gone to knong psar. I asked him what makes you feel happy? He told me : I am very happy when more tourists come to knong spar because I can work and find more money to do something for a living. Therefore, Everyone that went to knong spar extra money provided to help them as much as we can. I hope all of the tourists keep their holiday going to knong spar because we did not see only the best view but we can help other guides to grow their economy.
However, They need money to keep up their livelihood. I fully agree with them. But I do not want to see their kids use labor to earn money and follow the role of their parents. I want to see them pay attention while studying as much as possible. So They still can help their parents to find money after school or holiday without school time. Why not?. I hope local authorities take measures to educate the transfer of all children to school. We should build schools then nowadays send teachers to the village for development. Education is important for the next generation even news or other information they did not receive well. Refer to “ Education for all , All for education” .
